Was asked to lead the Equity Trading book for Agency Securities Lending. Helping to position the business as the market leader in 3rd Party.

A very short stint with State Street... Deutsche Bank sold their custody business along with Agency Lending to State Street. I worked in Hong Kong trading Asian assets for DB when this occurred and was repatriated back to London.

Was asked to spearhead the Hong Kong Agency Securities Lending product in Hong Kong, where I helped to significantly increase the business and created bespoke solutions to clients.

I was asked to join the Agency lending program as a junior trader in 1996 trading both Equity and Fixed income products working with Ian Hovey and Mark Boughton.In 1998 the desk merged with Deutsche Bank's Fixed-income lending product headed by Tim Smollen and the Bankers Trust lending program.In late 1999 I visited the HK office to cover for a brief period, then returned in early 2000 for what I thought would be just 1 year. I was headhunted from RBS to join Morgan Grenfell's custody division.

I started work in the banking section, before moving onto the Americas section which covered North America and Canada where I was lucky enough to learn many roles from settlements , currency positioning and dividends. Later in my career at RBS I was asked to spearhead the Latin American desk where I helped to set up the infrastructure which allowed the client base to transact in these new Emerging markets.
