Director Facilities Management I'm responsible managing the general maintenance activities of Amarillo College physical assets to include work order management system, building automation systems, preventative, predictive, and corrective programs, campus construction, and renovations. Supervision of project management services for the construction and renovation program for capital and non-capital projects, ensure the architectural/engineering design adhere to College design standards and meet customer expectations, responsible for consulting with design team during design development, project scheduling, project budget, pre-qualification of contractors, solicitation of contractor bids, contractor selection, processing and approval of invoices and change orders, field inspections, monitoring construction progress, conduct perioidic construction meetings with management, and project close-out. Manage the entire lifecycle of projects including driving team accountabilities, addressing project issues/risks, driving effective decision making and delivering status updates/recommendations to management, assuring project work is executed in compliance with AC College Environmental Health and Safety Department, design codes, construction codes, regulations, safety standards, contract documents, budgets, and schedules. College representative for outsource or in-house inspection and testing of project components such as mechanical systems, electrical systems, roofs, and materials of assigned projects as required. Conduct building condition assessments and develops short/long-term plans to address deficiencies. Monitor Department budgetary data and level reports. Ensure safety training and foster a workplace safety culture. Investigates and resolve complaints regarding operational issues. Substitute and supplement the duties of other Physical Plant Supervisors. Recommend and assist in the implementation of goals and objectives for the Department.

Reviews standards and work procedures for all Facilities staff in accordance with established policies and practices of the facility. Directs and oversees various Facilities Depts., including but not limited to: POM, Janitorial, Grounds, Pest Control, & Construction. Regularly inspect and evaluate physical condition of facility; recommend painting, repairs and furnishings. Provide monthly administrative progress reports relative to short term accomplishments, future short term plans and staff education/trainingSupervise the relocation and storage of all furnishings and equipment as well as the relocation of space to improve the sanitation and appearance of the facility. Report unsafe conditions and conduct research to improve facility technology. Conduct regular staff meetings and communicate with members of other departments to coordinate facilities activities. May serve on facility-wide committee.Schedule major project work, assuring that adequate staff and supplies are available to perform said tasks. Conduct regular inventory of facility supplies and order same, keeping costs in line with approved budgetary amounts.Maintain and support facility goals and objectives as they relate to third party patient survey process Coordinate all outside services relative to the Facilities department (ie. Pest Control, Window Cleaning, Medical Waste, Solid Waste, Document Destruction and Recycling program.
