I lead a portion of our US Businesses Managed Service team, with responsibility for the suite of 50+ applications and systems used by our Group Insurance business. I lead a staff of 9 employees and our Managed Service provider (180+ staff and leaders). We provide ongoing application maintenance, "keep the lights on", defect remediation, process efficiencies, reducing tech debt, and minor enhancements. We also have systems responsibilities for onboarding new client companies.

- I Manage and lead the company’s external and internal veteran programs, which includes supporting Diversity and Inclusion activities, military talent hiring programs, military community volunteerism, military financial wellness, and thought leadership activities. - Establish and execute military programs corporate giving strategy of $3.3M to $7.0M annually, investing in programs to support employment, financial wellness, and military family wellbeing. - I was instrumental in creating and building out our award-winning military spouse employment program that included providing professional portable careers across an array of career fields. We used the approach of "lead with the talent" to get hiring manager buy-in and participation. - Established, executed, and expanded military financial wellness program that has been implemented with more than 30 non-profit partners and the VA, with more than 6,400 attendees as of February 2022.- Advocates to and collaborates with Corporate peers to assist effective large and small companies implement and support similar programs in their organizations. I helped several companies gain executive buy-in to create a similar programs at their firm.- I am a sought out military talent speaker and panelist to large and small group settings on the business case and execution of corporate military talent programs. - I have done several executive speaking engagements focused on creating diverse workforces of military talent.- I mentor veterans, transitioning servicemembers, and military spouses on career opportunities, resume, and interviewing skills and help connect them to career opportunities.

- I executed company-wide efforts to create sustainable programs for transitioning service members and military veterans, with an emphasis on education and training towards meaningful employment. These programs helped military talent get aligned with career opportunities right for them, whether at Prudential or elsewhere. I oversaw the Prudential VETalent work-study program for veteran and military spouse candidates across all Prudential domestic sites resulting in 45 hires over a 12-month period. This program, run in collaboration with a non-profit partner, recruited, trained and provided OJT opportunities for specific roles within the company and aligned with hiring managers talent demands. I created and oversaw execution of our military talent strategy that enabled Prudential’s new office in El Paso, TX to have approximately 50% of hires be military veterans or military spouses. This strategy included partnering with several non-profit organizations and working with organizations on FT Bliss. - I established and executed the corporate giving strategy for military programs in the El Paso region totaling approximately $1.0M annually. This included funding to bring several new workforce development programs to the region.

- I supervised and led 4 direct reports, with total staff of 20+ which included a mix of employees and onshore and offshore consultant project managers and business / systems analysts. - I led the team in execution of the following areas: project management, staff management, vendor management, quality assurance testing resource management, business partner relations, field (user) feedback and issue resolution, participation in vendor contracting, and establishing software development process improvements for staff and external vendors.- I delivered systems solutions to business partners in marketing, financial planning, business quality, and Life Marketing including managing several vendor relationships, contracts, and vendor performance.- I developed my staff by providing challenging assignments, mentoring and team collaboration.- I managed combined core, discretionary, and initiative annual budgets of approximately $8M. - I routinely briefed senior management on project proposals, status updates, budget, and strategy.

- I supervised a staff of 12 project managers and analysts. - I was responsible for maintaining and providing systems updates and enhancements to various software systems used by Prudential Advisors, including: the Prudential Learning Network, Client Data Systems, Agency Data Systems and Needs Analysis System used by Agency Distribution's career agents and field management. - My responsibilities included the following areas: project management, staff management, vendor management, quality assurance testing resource management, business partner relations, field (user) feedback and issue resolution, participation in vendor contracting, and establishing software development process improvements for staff and external vendors.- I implemented system and process improvements with the Prudential Learning Network that saved the company more than $1M annually. - I led our team's efforts to become Capability Maturity Model (CMM) certified at Level 2.

- I was selected to participate in this highly selective, 5 - month leadership development program run by the George W. Bush Presidential Center.- Program was concurrent with my VP, Veterans Initiatives role at Prudential.- I studied under Bush Administration Cabinet Members and other VIP’s and was exposed to 49 other scholars passionate about serving the military community. I formed strong connections and expanded my military community network. - My personal leadership project focused on providing tools and resources for military caregivers to achieve financial security for their families via a two-pronged effort. 1. Providing quality job opportunities to military caregivers. 2. Providing financial wellness education, tools, and resources.
