Brinkerhoff and Associates is an irrigation design and consulting firm specializing in water conservation through sound irrigation design, water management, water auditing, and master planning. The firm works with clients throughout CA and the Western United States, including the Los Angeles, San Diego, Riverside, Orange, and Ventura County areas, also the Sacramento/Central Valley, and San Francisco Bay areas. Regions include NV, OR, WA, AZ, CO, NM, and TX, and multiple international destinations. Projects the firm has worked on include public parks, civic centers, sports/athletic facilities, schools/universities, commercial and residential developments, multi-family housing, homeowner associations, streetscapes, river restoration habitats, slope stabilization, and re-vegetation.

Because of my extensive knowledge of irrigation systems I was employed by Hunter Industries as their ‘Education Manager’ of the company. Part of my duties as manager were to train Hunter employees, landscape architects, contractors, and distributors in the specification, design, and management of irrigation systems. During my brief tenure I instituted a new program for training contractors called the 'Hunter Institute of Irrigation' whereby contractors would redeem their equipment purchase points to fly out to the factory and get training in irrigation systems and designs.

Owned and operated a landscape and irrigation construction firm during the 1980’s and 90’s, holding a California contractors C-27 license. We installed and managed all types of projects including home subdivisions, school campuses, shopping centers, sports facilities, highway DOT landscapes, and recreational parks. This 11 years of construction experience has supplied tremendous insight to my current work in the Irrigation Design field, including common sense field-workable design and with that lowered irrigation system maintenance costs.
