The Polytec Group (www.polytec.com) is a German based group of companies that are active in area of laser-based measurement of parameters like vibration, speed, distance and surface metrology. The Polytec Group is world market leader in several of their product areas, in particular in vibrometer equipment.Another important business area are the activities of Polytec PT GmbH (www.polytec-pt.com/int) Polymer Technologies. This company is producing thermally and electrically conducting adhesive material for the electrical vehicle and credit card industries as prime examples of end user industries.On early August 2012, I joined and started the Polytec South-East Asia Pte Ltd as a Managing Director. The company Polytec South-East Asia Pte Ltd was newly founder by me and I was served as the first Managing Director. This is to be distributing organization for the whole range of the above products. This includes sales, marketing, application and service activities in the region of South-East Asia and some distribution in to China. Jim Chia, has organized the new company, found office locations, hired employees from 1st January 2013Over the time, I managed to grow Polytec South-East Asia Pte Ltd to a revenue of over 3 million US Dollars. I established a team of 10 highly trained professionals working in the different business unit areas. I established new working partner relationships, optimized the cost base if operations, participated in the various strategic workshops and initiatives of Polytec worldwide. During the COVID-19 crisis I provided the necessary leadership to my team and implemented the safety measures required as well continued to provide our customers the service and information necessary during those hard times.Achievements:• Reviewed revenue strategies of business units leading to earnings of over USD 3 million per year.• Oversee budget to manage costs and meet sales and revenue targets
