ACS was a small company I started with a long time associate to build custom OEM server and workstation solution to the Security industry. Our first and biggest customer was Sielox with whom I was employed. Our two largest installations were Orlando International Airport with ADT Security and Massachusetts Instituted of Technology for whom we built a Beowulf Super-computing Cluster for Gnome research.My responsibilities at ACS were product engineering, business development, sales, marketing, trade shows, and technical support.

As Director of Technical Services my primary challenge was to address two issues: declining revenue due to technical issues with the product and organizational issues within the company. I worked closely with customers and engineers to identify the causes of these concerns and was able to return sales to the levels previously achieved. I managed the Technical Support, RMA/Hardware Repair, IT, Training departments.

IAS at the time I was hired was the forth largest physical security integration company in the US with primary focus on the Banking, Internet, Defense and Government. Some of our most notable customers were AOL, Boeing, Chase Manhattan, PNC and The Federal Reserve Bank, The US Post Office, Chicago Mercantile, New York and American Stock exchanges just to name a few. Geoffrey Industries, now Vanderbilt Industries was a top tier manufacturer of Access Control and Video Management Systems with sales world-wide. I was originally hired by IAS as a Project Manager to design and implement a new modern accounting system using Navision to replace two aging legacy UNIX based systems. By the end of my first year I was promoted to Director of Technical Services with 6 departments and 26 subordinates.Managed the conversion of company accounting system to modern solution: Navision SQL.Designed and implemented new company information technology platform solution including servers, network, firewalls, Windows Active Directory and Schema, Exchange, Backup, VOIP and desktop solution for 180 user network joining HQ and five remote offices. Applied for and administered a $150,000 NSF training grant with County College of Morris to provide staff training in Microsoft Office, Time and Project Management and basic electronics. Managed UL listing for the companies hardware products.Successfully assisted the companies legal team in defending against a $4,000,000 Business Software Alliance lawsuit.Merged the 6 department I managed into the Technical Services Group to streamline operations, facilitate cross training and share resources with the goals of increasing efficiency, improving customer satisfaction and reducing cost. The departments were: Tech Support, Field Support, Training, Documentation, IT, Hardware and Software Testing and Video Management System R & D, a department I started.Produced the Worlds first Windows based digital video recorder.
