I have a Diploma in Civil Engineering and have worked in the industry for over thirty years. In the early part of my career I worked in Quality Control and Materials Engineering starting as a junior laboratory assistant and then on to Laboratory Manager in charge of several on site laboratories. I also spent time setting out on various sites and gained some experience with EDMs and GPS systems. I started in site management as an Agent on small to medium sized contracts, the majority of which were drainage contracts involving HDPE and cast iron rising mains, long sea outfalls, tank sewers and sewage treatment works and deep drainage systems.I have extensive experience in bulk earthworks on major Civils jobs including motorway projects such as the A1M and the A55 duel carriageway as well as large scale railway projects including the Trans Gabonese and the Tinkolili Mine railway both in West Africa. Part of my duties have included all aspects of Health and Safety on site from detailed method statements to tool box talks.
