• Responsible for implementing and managing environments that meet mutually agreed-upon service levels.• Oracle EBS Applications installation and maintenance for a global company.• Support multiple versions and instances of Oracle EBS and Databases.• Support Oracle RAC Database running on Exadata.• Support Microsoft SQL Databases• Performs troubleshooting of issues and coordinates communication and resources to resolution. Addresses the root cause of problems to prevent recurrence of the same or similar issues.• Monitor client tools and server software connectivity and Install Oracle product stack on Linux/UNIX/Windows.• Research and solve challenging Oracle related technical issues.• Support the Engineering and Support work that depends on the health of the various Oracle EBS and Database environments.• Plan, test, and implement backup and disaster recovery strategies utilizing Oracle Dataguard and RMAN.• Research existing problems, propose and implement new solutions, technologies, features, and improvements to the servers.• Identifies opportunities to improve business processes and solve business problems and proposes solutions.• Proposes and implements technology projects with a global view of the company’s needs across departments and locations.• Clearly documents and communicates the status of ongoing projects, support items, and standard procedures.• Acts as Subject Matter Expert for Oracle DB and Apps, staying current on new technologies as well as industry best practices and driving innovation in the environments.• Functions as an effective team member through good communication and cooperation to meet departmental and company goals.

- Assist in the planning, design, development, of new applications and enhancements to existing applications.- Meet with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business requirements and systems goals, and identify and resolve business systems issues.- Collaborate with IT team to properly identify and assign systems testing, updates, and validation, including scheduling downtime and communication to system owners. - Ensure compatibility and interoperability of in-house systems.- Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.- Document, create, and maintain procedures for systems and application design, installs, and validation. - Participate in systems administration duties as required.- Create systems models, specifications, diagrams and charts to provide direction to team members.- Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems.- Manage and/or provide guidance to junior members of the team.- Provide on-call availability to a 24/7 support environment.
