About Jim Dooley

Dr. Dooley is an experienced technology developer, serial entrepreneur, and inventor. His degrees include BS and M.Eng. in agricultural (biosystems) engineering and a PhD in forest resources/forest engineering. Jim held a number of engineering, business development and technical management positions with major corporations, including Amfac (tropical agriculture and sugar cane) and Weyerhaeuser (forest products, horticulture, biotechnology, and timber), during a twenty-two year career with multi-national corporations. Dr. Dooley has participated in the creation of new businesses within Weyerhaeuser and Amfac, and was Chief Product Engineer for Weyerhaeuser’s Sensor and Simulation Products business unit. Dr. Dooley was the 2000 President of IBE, The Institute of Biological Engineering, and the 2008 President of ASABE, The American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers. He is a Fellow of three engineering professional societies.Dr. Dooley was the co-founder of Forest Concepts, LLC in 1998 and continues to be the Chief Technology Officer.
