Telewave manufactures cavity filters, duplexers, diplexers, antennas, preamps and other support devices covering the 30 kHz - 1500 MHz spectrum that are used in medium power (to 300W) amateur, commercial, government, public safety, cellular, PCS and other radio communications systems. Specifically I worked with our customers to help them define what they require then designed a system that met their needs.

Evaluated and tested almost all rf hardware products produced for SAVI's ISO 18000-7 product line. FCC Pre-certification testing. Determined root causes for equipment performance problems to allow Savi's design and development engineers to correct these issues.

Assisted with design and verification for RF connected Glucose Meter products. Helped define and implement full Anechoic Chamber testing of Therasense RF products. Therasense was later bought by Abbott Labs.

Reviewed internal designs and external RFID vendor offerings to establish baseline performance. Looked at customer requirements to determine which RFID (or alternative) technology would best provide a solution to meet their automatic identification needs. This included significant travel to customer sites for site surveys to plan appropriate system implementation.

Define, design, evaluate, install, and update RFID systems used in Nursing Homes for resident safety and in Hospitals for infant security. Hold a patent for infant security system.

Design and Development of RFID products. Field Engineering and Installation of RFID systems in North America. FCC certification pre-evaluations.

Designed and developed 915MHz, 1830MHz Passive RFID Tags for one of the two original UHF RFID pioneer companies. This included 5W Transmitters, 1830 MHz Receivers, Analog Signal processing, system design and integration, antenna design and development, and installation in the US, Canada, and South Africa.

Serviced HF, VHF, and UHF Amateur Radio Transceivers and managed the service department. Managed the Assembly Line for TVRO and RF Power Amplifiers. Designed a 35W linear amplifier, charger, Preamp, Audio Amplifier unit for use with HT radios for mobile use. Oversaw QA for incoming radios from Japan.

Design and development of CB and Commercial Two-Way Radio equipment. FCC certifications.

I performed customer service, brochure and other print shop layout and offset press plate preparation duties.
