Jim Embley is the Managing Partner at hi-tequity and is the former Managing Partner at KMS Advisors. Prior to that Jim served previously as the Chief Executive Officer of Rubicon Professional Services. An accomplished professional, he has over 30 years of experience in executive management within the data center infrastructure industry. In 2005, Jim was a founding member of Potomac Integration, which later became Rubicon Professional Services. In 2007, he successfully negotiated the sale of Rubicon Professional Services to publicly traded Fortress International Group, Inc. While at Rubicon Professional Services, Jim led the company to a listing on the Inc. 5000 list and was the recipient of the Smart CEO Future 50 Award. Prior to founding Rubicon, Jim experienced tremendous success starting and growing companies. Among such companies was Onya Technologies, a software communication and notification company. Onya was built to ensure children’s safety and was later sold to Honeywell. Jim launched his career as a founding member of Lee Technologies a leading mission-critical infrastructure provider and served as executive vice president until 2003, at which time he left the company, selling his equity interest. Jim holds a BS degree in Finance and Business Administration from James Madison University.
