Working in the office industry since 1972 my career started on the factory floor at Bisley Steel Office Furniture. Having experienced working in production, transport, telesales and ending up with a management position in dealer sales developing UK and European markets for thirteen years, I moved into direct selling to major corporate as director of sales for the Forley Group of companies in Reading, creating their new office furniture division.Experiencing the dealer and direct side of the business I later joined Sven Christiansen Plc as sales director introducing imported seating from Hag in Norway to an emerging ergonomic seating market and launching our own UK manufactured ranges of Executive and systems furniture to the trade. Major projects were delivered to blue chip companies via dealers, architects and designers establishing Sven Christiansen as a major player in the industry.Launching Sit Smart in the early 90’s as a specialist seating company, helped to develop a deep understanding of office ergonomics and workstation assessments supplying companies with dynamic seating and groundbreaking products.I bring a wealth of experience from manufacturing, specifying and distributing office furniture to all facets of industry in the UK and internationally. I created Dragonfly Office Interiors in the early 90’s with long term colleague Graham Johnson.
