Very briefly, our LifeGuard Safety Hose Safety Shut Off System, is the hydrogen industry’s only hose and coupling system that instantly and automatically shuts off the flow of fluids in both directions. The LifeGuard Safety hose system utilizes the unique, patented and patent pending design eliminates the potential for disaster through the use of an internal cable or an Engineered Compression Spring system with two non-return valves installed within each fitting that separates under a controlled condition and thereby prevents product loss in the event of an emergency separation. Valve plungers or flappers installed at both ends of the hose, accomplish closure. During normal operation, they are kept open by a compression spring incorporated within the hose bore. This compression spring provides thrust in the direction of both ends of the hose, holding the valves open.
