    The National Atomic Energy Workers Council is made up of numerous nuclear related organizations across the nation, the majority which are employed at Department of Energy facilities. This organization meets on a bi-annual basis in order to discuss impacts as the result of decisions or policies implemented by the DOE. Under Secretaries of the Dept are invited to speak at each meeting, and council members relate issues of impacts at each represented site & suggest improvements at the Dept can make. Lobbying on Capital Hill occurs at the conclusion of each AEWC Council meeting, with the respective elected officials of each Council attendees/members.
