Jim is the CEO of Arrowhead Realty, the parent firm for Crown Corporate Realty and U S Management Services, leading real estate management, development and consulting firms, that support corporate and Federal housing needs, and provide disaster recovery services for local, regional and Federal agencies. Jim brings 40+ years of leadership experience in facility development, management and planning and humanitarian assistance and disaster recovery, with a recent focus on the art and science of repositioning housing authority portfolios to improve financial viability and sustainability and housing conditions for low income residents.

Recognized in March 2020 with the Tennessee Housing and Development Agency's Director Award for making the greatest impact in creating affordable housing opportunities for those in need in the State of Tennessee, Jim was the fifth Executive Director of the Metropolitan Housing and Development Agency (MDHA), one of the largest housing authorities in the United States. He was responsible for one billion dollars in assets with a yearly budget of over 150 million dollars, and served over 13,600 families of low income in Nashville and Davidson County, ensuring that they had safe, affordable housing. In his tenure, MDHA transformed its public housing portfolio, remediating concentrated poverty to mixed income communities through the US Department of Housing and Urban Development's Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) program. MDHA's RAD conversion of its Public Housing portfolio was the largest in the Nation and led to a robust recapitalization program. During his tenure, MDHA completed over 1000 new, mixed income apartments and a new charter school dedicated to MDHA's new mixed income community. At the time of his departure, an additional 200 new apartments were financed and pending construction start, and 600 more apartments were under development.

Led the Housing and Urban Development team that plans for and supervises Tennessee HUD multifamily loan and subsidy programs, and that manages HUD properties and assets in Tennessee.

Led multidisciplinary teams to develop and build new hospitals and healthcare campuses, and redevelop existing hospital and healthcare facilities.

Led operations and managed real estate assets for 15 marinas and their associated restaurants, hotels, shopping malls and properties in 5 countries with a primary market of mega-yachts and sailing cruisers.

Led multidisciplinary teams to develop and build new hospitals and healthcare campuses, and redevelop existing hospitals and healthcare facilities.

Led US Marine Corps training and advisory mission to the Royal Naval Special Forces and Royal Marines of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Served in many positions in a variety of locations across the globe with specialties in combat engineering, air and seaborne transportation, financial management, acquisition, real property management and development, and international logistics. Served as Commanding Officer for a logistics regiment, engineer battalion, an engineer company and an engineer joint task force, and as Senior Engineer, and asset manager and developer for all US military properties in the Pacific Region.
