Jim Hawk Work Experience Details
  • Microsoft
    Director Of Strategic Partnerships
    Microsoft Jul 2018 - Present
    Redmond, Washington, Us
In my role as ISV Business Development (Strategic Pursuit), I am responsible for closing Microsoft’s most strategic high-value ISV partnerships by coordinating and leading the Partner Teams, the Sales Teams, and the Engineering Teams. I am engaged throughout the pursuit lifecycle, from origination to signature, and am responsible for articulating a compelling ‘Why Partner with Microsoft’ value proposition. My responsibilities include the tactical management of all pursuit work-streams, qualification of the opportunity, compliance of the offer developed, securing Exec support for custom terms, forecasting of joint MS/Partner potential, and the development and delivery of presentations. Negotiating these deals requires a robust and tested ‘close plan’ for coordinating this ‘team of teams’ and for managing buyoff with Executive/Board level stakeholders throughout the deal process. I work with considerable autonomy, often influencing the work of others and providing coaching to teammates on my learned best practices and experience. To further stakeholder learning, I constantly evolve and develop innovative approaches to closing deals and train others to drive adoption of these best practices across my extended stakeholder team. To communicate progress, I have built custom reporting dashboards and distribute regular reports to drive visibility of my opportunities throughout all stages of the pipeline.
