ChairmanLexington Young Achievers Program Jan 1990 - PresentLexington, Kentucky AreaOperates a program which recognizes elementary and middle school students who demonstrate outstanding leadership in their school and community. Schools nominate students when they are fourth and seventh graders. The sudents are photographed for an exhibit which is shown at their school and Fayette Mall in Lexington, Kentucky. A top school winner is chosen for each of the 50+ participating schools in Lexington. School winners receive a gold madallion from the International Leadership Network. All school winners receive additional recognition by a feature article in the Herad-Leader newspaper.

Jan 1980 - PresentCentral KentuckyOperates a program known as "Youth Salute" which recognizes outstanding high school leaders from 55 high schools in Central Kentucky. High school juniors nominated by their school must have held at least two leadership positions and have at least a 3.0 GPA. Students are recognized in local newspapers, radio stations and a photographic display shown in their school, community and Fayette Mall in Lexington. An annual leadership seminar and awards ceremony in held at one of four participating colleges. $90,000 in scholarships and awards are given out each year. Six students are picked to attend the national leadership program in St. Louis MO called "Town Meeting on Tomorrow" sponsored by the National Council on Youth Leadership and Washington University.
