Subordinators: 5 people (1 for steel fabrication, 1 for forging and casting, 1 for Drive unit and slewing and common Bearing, 1 for Hydraulic cylinder and electric component, 1 for Belt and accessory, under carriage system) 1) Deliver end-to-end sourcing category management, developing and following Sandvik sourcing process, ensuring a common approach to measuring, optimizing and managing the organization category spend2) Maintain up-to-date knowledge of sourcing category related domestic supply market and maintain database of suppliers3) Lead savings projects as identified and agreed. And report the savings as per annual targets. Regular and accurate tracking and communication of business benefits against project targets and budgets4) Lead regular business reviews with strategic suppliers and key internal stakeholders to review performance, resolve key issues and drive continuous improvement5) Ensure compliance and adherence to Sandvik Ming sourcing policies and procedures6) Coach and supervise the team to work proactive, professional, correct and efficient as well.

Subordinators: 4 people (2 for steel weldment and subcontracting, 1 for forging and casting, 1 for fastener, bearing, wire rope…..standard stuff)According to company’s strategy and policy, draw out the SMART plan and strategy for my team. And report the strategy to sourcing director. Set up the KPI and mange the team to achieve the target.1） Take part in the major spending commodity supplier sourcing and the major suppliers audit, win-win spirit and QCD system to manage all the suppliers. Control and negotiate the price. Make sure the goods delivery on time. Take part in to analyse the root cause the major quality issue, help the suppliers to take the corrective action for the quality issue.2） The lead for quarterly supplier meeting, create a competitive environment for all the suppliers. Openly review the all the quality and delivery issue in this meeting, and set up the improvement for all the suppliers. Request “Never stop, try to improve a little bit everyday” to all the suppliers.3） Take part in the operation or quality meeting and contribute ideas for managing improvement. Work with plant to solve the manufacturing capacity issue by transferring some business to suppliers.4） Draw out the annual purchasing budget, cost control/saving plan. Help and support the team to set up the project. Coordinate with the relevant department to commit and support us.5） Encourage my team to work with passion and be proactive. Coach them to work with efficient. 6） Work the Global commodity manager to set up the global sourcing strategy, support the localization project in China as well.BTW, from 2008/04 to 2009/04, the supplier quality engineer reported to me as well. At that time, my team had two function team, one for sourcing, one for Supplier quality management. And then, My team just kept the sourcing function due to company organization change.

1) Take the responsibility of the steel stuff (like casting, welding, machining) localization and global sourcing of handling container machine. Set up the business plan with each subordinate and review it regularly. Support and report to foreign purchasing manager, draft and discuss with him for the strategy and business plan for my team.2) Source the qualified local suppliers with competitive prices, payment, lead-time and enough capacity; audit potential suppliers with quality and Engineer department. Take the leader and set up all the milestone for all localization project. Make sure the project run well.3) Maintain the performance of suppliers from quality/cost/delivery/service, meet with suppliers for quality or business improvement. 4) Be the bridge between technical/quality department and supplier. Especially for the technical support and sample validation from oversea.5) Negotiate with supplier for the cost. Cost down and review cost element to control the cost. Set up the annual cost down with suppliers.6) Work closely with warehouse to control the inventory, a good way but lower cost for logistic like VMI, consignment…..
