FounderSilverlining May 2006 - Apr 2009SilverLining was created for the Sales Pro in the storm restoration industry as a CAD-like tool to draw and measure roofing, siding, and gutters to create an estimate and order at the click of a few buttons. Obtaining the help of development company, MentorMate, the software was created from my rough sketches of what it should do and how. Upon completion SilverLining was presented to the industry and within 1 year had over 1500 users. With the creation of Eagleview, SilverLining was quickly able to see it's value and negotiated the ability to integrate their aerial photos and measurements with a quick upload thus giving SilverLining the ability to create a proposal, estimate, and orders in less than 2 minutes saving sales reps an immense amount of time. I will always be eternally grateful to Chris Barrow the CEO of Eagleview for allowing SilverLining to be the first to integrate with them. After this integration Silver Lining continued to grow and was purchased by AccuLynx in 2009. I will also be eternally grateful to Richard Spanton and his vision of technology in the contracting industry as I became the Director of Sales at AccuLynx and gained invaluable experience and contacts for RoofCoachPRO.

PresidentAmerican Contracting Team Apr 2004 - Dec 2008American Contracting Team was formed due to the need of property management companies and other commercial properties to implement proper risk management and disaster restoration in catastrophic circumstances. ACT was integral in helping several property management companies and commercial properties be proactive in setting up a disaster preparedness program in the event of a severe catastrophic event. ACT provided services throughout the nation for clients who experienced hail storms, tornado's, hurricanes which severely damaged their properties. ACT's quick response program allowed properties to be protected, claims to be settled and the proper contractors to be obtained to complete repairs quickly and with only the highest in quality. ACT was sold in December of 2008 after generating revenues surpassing $20 million per year for 5 straight years. Catastrophes resolved included Hurricanes Ivan, Charley, Frances and Jeanne that struck Florida in 2004. Hurricane's Katrina and Rita that struck New Orleans and Houston in 2005. Finally Hurricane Ike that struck Houston in 2008. ACT also provided services due to several hail storm events in Chicago, Minneapolis, Omaha, Denver, Northern Virginia, Maryland, St. Louis and Atlanta.

PresidentCrsi Jan 2000 - Apr 2004My responsibilities included founding CRSI to provide storm restoration services to consumers in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa and Missouri. Taking the process that I had helped create and implement at my time as the Sales Manager at American Building Contractors, improving and refining them, we were able to sell $5 million in restoration work our very first year in business with 100+ percent growth each year of business. We developed strong marketing, sales and production processes that allowed us to handle large volume while still providing the best in services. CRSI developed an excellent management team and sales staff with the help of my partner Jim Miller. I was also involved in the development of our CRM and Sales Estimating tools that at the time were cutting edge leading to the development of Silver Lining, a online CAD-like estimating tool designed specifically for our industry in 2006. Other responsibilities that I handled were creating a Sales Training Manual, Presentation, and Training Program for the sales reps in our company. By developing an easily repeatable process we were able to quickly hire, train, and successfully implement 100's of sales reps over a 5 year period. I also created unique marketing tactics through the use of guerrilla marketing that saw CRSI generate leads on an unprecedented level in the industry. Because each of these tactics were designed with a process they were able to be repeated by any of our sales reps. My other duties included running sales practices concentrated on, education, motivation, self improvement and incentives to get the most out of our sales staff.

In doing so ABC went from $3.7 million in their first year of business in 1998 to over $35 million in 1999. I was in charge of training, motivation, sales meetings, profitability, and client relationships when it came to sales. I was fortunate enough to be given a great foundation in the industry by Rocky Schleiffer when it came to sales, and Paul Woodward when it came to business. I was also able to create long standing friendships with sales reps. vendors, and clients that would benefit me and hopefully them to this day. Most importantly I understood how to create a competitive atmosphere in our sales staff and a willingness to work well beyond what others might have. I thank each and every one of them for their effort and the things I learned in the process. -
OwnerThe Picture Man Feb 1995 - Aug 1998My responsibilities included creating marketing, sales and logistics processes to provide school pictures to over 200 day care facilities in Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, and Nevada. Upon refining these processes we were able to photograph over 20,000 children each year, free of charge to the facility, and only at a cost if we provided great photos to the parents. With a 87% sale rate we were highly successful.
