I am the sole support to 13 different applications managing the code, agile sprints, configuration, deployments, and database development. These 13 applications require me to be proficient in many different technologies as all of them were written throughout the years as technologies and coding standards shifted. This includes MVC pages, Bootstrap, ASP, HTML, JavaScript, Sql Server Manager, Stored Procs, T-Sql, SSRS, C#, Ninject dependency Injection, Entity Framework and CSS. I write my code using an MVC service and repository coding pattern to write efficient reusable code. I help the business staff in writing/reviewing requirements and designing workflows that will enable end users to perform their work more efficiently and create a successful end-user experience. I use my experience to make suggestions on how to make applications and workflows better and more efficient.I use application logs and performance monitoring software to plan out changes to improve application performance. I am the sole contact point for working with our outside business partners, US Bank and Key Bank, to configure the DCYF Credit Card and ACH payments that we receive through the agency Web service for the payments of FBI Background Checks that are performed in support of the Background Check, Receipt Management System and Merit child care DCYF applications. I use the Agile development processes are used for the applications that I am assigned to where I meet weekly with business staff to review Sprint stories and perform the requested development of new business requirements during month log sprints. I have written 3 database API’s in the last 6 months for applications to use when accessing databases. These API’s use certificates for authentication and authorization. They are written in C# using Entity Framework, Ninject for dependency injection with a coding pattern using repositories and services.

My work encompassed working on the state of Washington’s tax portion on the unemployment system. This system was originally written in Cobol working on the mainframe where I was responsible for the maintenance and creation of new CICS screens. In the last 9 years of my time with ESD I was assigned to rewrite of the mainframe processes into C# Asp.Net. I worked directly with contractors from Hewlett Packard developing these processes using Agile Sprint user stories.

I was the project Lead Developer maintaining the State of Washington’s Medicaid medical claims processing system. I worked within a team of 7 developers maintaining millions of lines of Cobol mainframe applications that processed millions of medical claims per year. I personally maintained all of the CICS applications and oversaw all of the major system upgrades during my employment with Consultec Inc.
