Positively impacting indirect spend impacts bottom line thus enhancing revenue.

Lead a team of Procurement Professionals handling strategic initiatives in both Strategic Sourcing and Category Management capacities. Build, monitor, and improve upon the Practice as it relates to knowledge, intellectual capital, process, and overall delivery capabilities for categories associated with Human Resources, Finance, and Legal.

This position handles sourcing processes and engagements of global key stakeholders covering commodity requirements that range from Pharmaceutical, Medical, Dental, Vision, and Wellness programs to Payroll Solutions, and Global Travel. The total spend managed by this position is in excess of $1B annually.

With the development of this new position, began the implementation of cost reduction initiatives, career development programs, policy and procedures, global strategic sourcing strategies, and global SAP team lead responsibilities.Key Accomplishments:• Responsible for all global sourcing initiatives by identifying opportunities on a global, geographical, and local level. • Responsible for addressable spend in the amount of $900M.• Within three quarters, directly reduced spend in the amount of $43M. This came from contract re-negotiations, setting standards on equipment, and sourcing the items.• Directly manage a staff of nine with transition plans of adding eight to address additional spend in the areas of IT, Marketing, Facilities, Travel, Legal, and Benefits.• As the SAP Procure To Pay Global Team Lead, in 90 days, was transacting within SRM eProcurement, running spend analytics in BW, and had reverse auction capabilities in a production environment.

Successfully and expeditiously implemented Kennametal's eProcurement and eAuction programs, providing ongoing administration of both systems. Manages the strategic outsourcing program for global services and manufactured product. Participates in the development of Purchasing's Global Shared Services Strategic Plan.Key Accomplishments:• Project Manager implementing Ketera Technologies global eProcurement system across four divisions, ten suppliers, 85 locations, 360 users, all in 90 days. • Project Manager implementing FreeMarket's Quicksource Reverse Auction tool. Running over 25 global events in FY04, worth $31M, saving on average 19 percent. • Manages and facilitates Kennametal's global strategic outsourcing initiatives through supplier identification, reverse auctions, and global contracts. • Works with supplier base and plant locations in China, India, and the USA on outsourcing projects, first article, and final negotiated contract terms.

Responsible for national sales support providing Subject Matter Expertise to potential clients in both Public and Private sector business. Provided timely and accurate research for the eProcurement practice, for use by Partners, Sales, and Technical team members. Managed and operated the Purchasing functions for the Baker Atlas and Baker Inteq divisions of Baker Hughes. Providing trained professional buyers to support sourcing, supplier management, production, and engineering requirements of these two divisions. Key Accomplishments:• Responsible for the efficient operation of 28 Buyers and Assistant Buyers in a MRP driven, highly engineered, manufacturing environment.• Responsible for successfully integrating procurement processes and procedures for two divisions of Baker Hughes.• SAP Procurement process owner for global procurement processes for Baker Atlas and Baker Inteq.• Only Manager to sit on three integration committees while integrating the Baker Atlas and Baker Inteq divisions.
