-Manage a 20M freight spend, working directly with carriers, freight forwarders, and 3PL to negotiate pricing for domestic and international parcel, LTL, TL freight. Supervise staff to approve all freight invoices and freight claims.-Create and maintain all transportation reports for presentations to senior level management.-Manage a fleet of 25 leased vehicles in US and Canada. Negotiate terms and pricing for leased vehicles. Approve all leased vehicle expenses.-Collaborate with sales team, providing freight costs for bids with new and existing customers.

Schedule carriers for requested loads using the transportation management system and business processes defined. Maximize revenues by identifying the appropriate carriers that are cost-effective and meet safety and quality requirements along with customer expectations.-Plan and optimize loads in the transportation management system to assure that all lanes are covered in a timely manner while following defined business procedures. -Negotiate freights rates and terms with existing and new carriers.-Accountable for maintaining Keystone’s safety standards, for safety leadership, and for maintaining a safe and healthy work environment. Accountable for insuring center objectives are obtained in compliance with local, state and federal laws.

Supervise a team of 45 union drivers, including hiring and training. -Train all new drivers, warehouse and office employees to meet Hazardous Materials and Security Plan requirements.-Manage a fleet of 40 power units and 26 trailers. -Create and modify procedures within the transportation department.-Plan, organize, coordinate, and assign the work of subordinate employees, including the daily routing of trucks.- Manage Driver Qualification files, Federal Drug/Alcohol Testing, Safety Training, Fleet Maintenance, and all other aspects of transportation department to ensure DOT regulations are met.-Negotiate TL and LTL terms on inbound and outbound freight. Maintain carrier relations.

Create daily routes using TMS, choosing the most cost effective solution, while meeting costumer expectations.-Develop and analyze route cost reports, including daily route costs, customer specific reports.
