I am retired after a career that spanned 40 years in the federal public service, from 1970 to 2012. I made positive contributions in six federal government departments, including Statistics Canada, Finance Canada, Treasury Board Secretariat (Office of the Comptroller General), Public Safety Secretariat, Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (Executive Interchange Program), and Correctional Services Canada (CSC). Areas of achievement were related to social portfolio management, expenditure planning and reporting, accountability and performance management, strategic and operational planning, policy and program implementation and project management.At CSC, I co-managed two major Ministerial-directed, multi-disciplinary Task Forces, returning to the department after my retirement to plan and coordinate the implementation of three department-wide policy and program projects for the Commissioner of Corrections. I made a difference as a result of the work that I did.
