• Administration. This role was maintaining the dedicated Windows 2003 servers (used by the Rational and Borland tools) and also the Windows, UNIX and Linux clients. (There were 25 Servers in US, 18 Servers in UK and 11 Servers in Sydney)• Communications.I was required to resolve issues with the application from both the clients and also with the application vendors and received excellent feedback as to my dedicated and detailed support.• Training. This role involved training new starters in the use of the software tools and processes. It also involved training development teams in the use of product or process enhancements.• ResponsibilityDuring my time in this project I was Team Leader and the SME (subject matter expert) for some of the Applications with the suite.As part of the Administration Role I was entrusted with a number of passwords for various servers and applications. Also I was trusted with various sensitive material. • Supporting the Rational and Borland Configuration and Change Management Suite of Applications. The Configuration and Change Management Suites were various applications to support the Software Development Life Cycle. They required dedicated servers with specific networking requirements.
