I am actively engaged in innovative service learning projects in New York City public schools and with NYIT undergrraduates. I also organize and provide teacher professional development programs and I am accompanying a group of undergraduates to an Alternate Spring Break in Nicaragua. I am part of the organizing committee for Cultivating Ensembles in STEM Education and Research conference which will be held June 10 - 12 in New York City.

ABOUTCollective Infrastructures is a multidisciplinary design lab confronting complex societal challenges with unique comprehensive response. We coordinate a rethinking of social, political, economic, cultural, environmental, and technological contexts in disaster-hit and/or disadvantaged neighborhoods locally here in NYC as well as around the globe. Our creative team includes experts that can create overlapping frameworks to build community-based social and environmental resiliency.

Provide mentoring in the area of technology integration in the classroom for public school teachers.

As a student in the Science Math and Technology specialty in the Urban Education program I studied cultural historical activity theory, critical pedagogy, postmodernism, dialectical materialism, qualitative research and ethnography. I also earned a certificate of specialization in Interactive Technology and Pedagogy.

A volunteer mentor for the Developing Teachers training program. Responsibilities include attending workshops, monthly supervision meetings and on site visits and follow up meetings with teachers.
