Briefly, for those interested, while still in the USMC, and stationed at NAS Dallas, I met and married Donna K. Cawthon (GHS 1965), we are still as one after 50 years. But I digress, during my USMC career we traveled extensively, and I finally retired in California in 1983 after 22 years of service. I immediately went to work in the military industrial complex (Hughes) as an Instructor/ Engineer. I did that for several years and then had the opportunity to expand my horizons by joining Rockwell. After several years of traveling as a Technical Representative/Reliability Engineer for Rockwell. I was offered a position at F.E. Warren AFB as Field Engineer/Technical Representative for the Peacekeeper Missile Guidance System. (During this period both Hughes and Rockwell were bought out by Boeing and lucky for me all of my service with both of these companies was contiguous). I chose to accept a position as a Mechanical Engineer at Vandenberg AFB in support of the Ground Based Misssile Defence system. After just over a over a year in California I decided to retire in 2004.
