Jim Morrison, Geologist, has been working on Australian minerals exploration and mine development for over 50 years. Prior to contract/consulting with Map to Mine on numerous critical minerals and gold projects in northern Queensland, he worked on various deposits in the North West Queensland Mineral Province including Starra IOCG, Merlin Mo-Re and other mineralization. He was Geology Manager on the 6 Moz Charters Towers goldfield for 11 years. Prior to moving to North Qld in 1990 he had extensive North Qld. experience and two decades working in W.A. and the N.T. This included the exploration / early development work on a number of mines including Warrior (gold, Charters Towers) & Mt Leyshon (gold, Qld), Nepean & Mt Keith (nickel, WA) and Tennant Ck (gold, NT). Three years were spent with the GSWA assessing Western Australian state mineral resources. He was member of EGRU Advisory Board at James Cook University for 16 years, and past Chair and Secretary of the AusIMM North Queensland Branch. Goal is to find profitable orebodies.Specialties: Successful "brownfields" and "greenfields" mineral exploration (Au, Cu, Ni, Fe, critical minerals), geological aspects of resource delineation, mine development, and exploration management. More recently work has concentrated on target delineation from previous exploration data, and on reporting including CPRs.

Project generation NE Qld, 2.I.C. Queensland exploration. Generated Poison Lake breccia/porphyryleading to new gold discovery. Located new Cu/Au skarn at Pall Mall. Generated other major exploration projects. Doongara (Pajingo) J.V. management, and exploration for gold orebodies. Assisted BMA Millfeed Agreement that led to discovery of the Vera-Nancy and other epithermal gold orebodies. Exploration for breccia/porphyry gold orebodies Mt Leyshon area. Charters Towers leading to purchase of leases, Caledonia JV, and high grade gold reef intersections. Identified mineralisation on SE Mt Leyshon breccia complex and 70 Mile Mount. Negotiated JVs and secured prospective regional landholdings. Geological and economic evaluation of the potential of the Charters Towers Goldfield. Mt Leyshon near-mine exploration identifying mineralised targets. Mt Leyshon study identified sampling requirements. Far Fanning gold evaluation. Responsible for pre-development activities at Bethanga and Adelong gold mines. Management of 8 JVs and numerous exploration projects throughout Australia, evaluation of submittals, and project generation. Successful start-up of Mt Leyshon mine geology/grade control. Generation of a major prospective land position in the Mt Leyshon region. Successful re-opening of Bethanga underground workings for geological and metallurgical evaluation. Intersection of base metal and tin mineralisation at Langtree and Harts Tank (NSW), and gold intersections at Adelong and Sussex. Gold found in reassay of old base metal drill holes at Wet Lagoon South, NSW. Tungsten greisen and alluvial tin discoveries at The Rock, NSW, and lode tin at Prospect Hill, SA.
