I have over 30 years of experience in high performance sales, the last 21 focusing on digital media. A founder member of the team which brought Hitwise to the UK market. I was instrumental in a £0-15m per annum turnover, culminating in its sale to Experian in 2007. British Airways, Ebay, Argos, Bodog, Boden, Virgin, Tesco, Sainsburys Asda, ITV and Diageo.Due to Hitwise being a start up I have had so many achievements both financial and personal. We took the product from an average order value of $100AUD to £17,500 GBP in 5 years. I am still responsible for 2 of the biggest individual sales in the history of the company (Boden for £250k GBP and Bodog (£125k), considering the average order value it was a huge achievement. Even my final month at Experian Hitwise was a record for the most pure New Business revenue in 1 calendar month £983,425. To my knowledge it has never been surpassed.I created strong relationships with my cross border colleagues who are still good friends today. I also created a strong and accountable reporting culture with Salesforce.com. I am proud of many of my achievements At Hitwise. Being on the ground at day one. Formulating the way the product was sold and at what price. Selling an initially intangible product to risk averse Marketing Directors post 2000 bubble and 9/11. Successfully over achieving targets and making the UK the most profitable arm of the company.The 2007 purchase of Hitwise By Experian presented a new set of challenges and reporting lines. I enjoyed this new endeavor and as a result increased my exposure to many more colleagues in new territories.My recruitment and management policy is something I am most proud about. I believe I managed well upwards and downwards. Working is an integral part of your life. I am empathetic and focused. I believe my teams are my responsibility whether it be in good times and bad. I am also proud that many of the people I recruited and promoted have been recruited to senior positions and are very successful after my tutelage.
