I'm responsible for in-game, on-field replay equipment support to Major League Baseball (MLB) umpires for review of challenged umpire calls. I set up & troubleshoot equipment, coordinate operations with Major League Baseball headquarters in New York City, and deliver equipment to umpires. I also do pregame set-up and operation of Ballpark Cam components, and work with media and MLB personnel during live interviews on MLB Network. I also help with broadcast trucks for transmission of video and audio feeds.

I'm a teacher. I taught Aviation History, Science of Flight, Global Cultural Studies, and Life Skills & Career Opportunities courses, coordinating these with the school's curriculum. Working with the Aerospace Science Instructor, school administrators, and community organizations, we built effective programs and developed working relationships with Air Force and other military and civilian agencies. I provided counseling and life skills training to students, and led an extensive extracurricular program including community service projects, parades, parent-cadet banquets, drill team, color guard, flag raising and patriotic ceremonies, academic bowl, orienteering, model rocketry, summer leadership activities, and field trips. AFJROTC aims to build responsible young people who will be better citizens, involved in community and nation, and our students achieved a 99% graduation rate, received more than 30 scholarships, and were better prepared for life after high school. We were awarded HQ AFJROTC's Distinguished Unit Award. I received the school district's Ambassador Award, as well as being named one of the most influential educators in the school.

Provided training to educators, youth leaders, and community partners, teaching them how to use the Congressional Medal of Honor Character Development Program for students at all grade levels, across curricular areas. The program provides students with opportunities for character development and personal growth by promoting citizenship, commitment, courage, integrity, patriotism, and sacrifice. I was privileged to work with Medal of Honor recipients at various events.

I worked with the MRAP (Mine Resistant Ambush Protected) vehicle team at DLA (Defense Logistics Agency) Land & Maritime. My role was to develop, coordinate, prepare, and present information for senior leaders, to include the DLA Director, Army Materiel Command CG, Department of the Army G-4 Staff, and senior industry leaders. I led a team of analysts supporting DLA Weapons Systems Support Managers, Demand and Supply Planners, and the MRAP Program Manager. Our information products were vital in programming and purchasing decisions for operating forces in Iraq and Afghanistan, while preparing this program for peacetime sustainment.My work was described as “very forward thinking” and “BRILLIANT! This is awesome stuff!"The DLA program manager said: “Jim is awesome... great to have him on the team!!”
