Hired by Hughes Aircraft Company in 1978 as a Contracts Analyst; quickly promoted through the ranks to eventually become a Contracts Manager involved in the management and execution of Government and commercial contracts. Hughes was purchased by Raytheon in 1996. Programs supported over the years involved Cobra helicopter weapons fire control systems, materials science development, F/A-18 tactical radar systems, advanced electronically scanned radar systems, tactical missile systems, ballistic missile defense systems, and intelligent transportation systems. Experience includes management and execution of international programs and co-development-production-offset programs. Over this timeframe, was responsible for management and execution of billions of dollars in Government and commercial contracts, including lead liaison among customers, suppliers, commercial partners, and executive offices.
