Jim Reed and Matt Watts are architects and co-founders of Reed Watts Architects.Reed Watts Architects is a London based studio, producing creative and thoughtful architecture. The scale of work is diverse and covers a range of sectors, from houses and fit-outs to larger commercial and residential projects as well as public, cultural buildings.The practice has a record of successfully negotiating with planning departments and have extensive experience of projects in listed buildings, conservation areas and challenging sites. Clients include the V&A, Open Air Theatre, Roundhouse, National Trust, National Theatre, Pocket Living and a number of Community Land Trusts (affordable housing).Jim has taught at a number of universities throughout the UK including Sheffield, De Montfort and Brighton. He currently runs Design Studio 2.3 at Kingston University.

Jim joined award Stirling prize award winning practice Haworth Tompkins in 2001 where he became an Associate Director. He led teams involved in delivering a number of award winning projects, covering a variety of sectors including cultural and arts, commercial and residential. He has gained a particular expertise in the creative adaptation and re-use of existing buildings, many of which have been listed. Clients included the London Library, the V&A, the Open Air Theatre and the National Portrait Gallery. Jim worked on a number of residential projects, including those at Newington Green and Coin street and is well versed in housing design.
