Managed a team of leverage finance professionals focused on providing senior debt financing solutions for middle market, private equity owned businesses. Financing transactions were generally cash flow in nature and used for LBOs, acquisitions, and recaps. Booked over $2.0B of leveraged loans over a five-year period and increased revenues by over 50%, seeing growth across all revenue areas. Increased PNC’s middle market sponsor book runner status, reaching as high as fourth. Drove down criticized assets from over 50% of the portfolio during the financial crisis to under 5%.

Merged two portfolio groups together (Structured Finance and Equity Sponsor) totaling over $3.0B in leveraged loans. Managed team to handle all of the underwriting and portfolio management activities on new sponsor business while winding down the buy-side leverage finance portfolio.

Originated Asset Based opportunities that fit within National City's risk appetite, closing on 18 transactions over a two-year period resulting in substantial loan and fee growth.
