James Smith is the owner of Light & Plug. Also James Smith is the Founder of Electrical Exam Academy LLC, a company dedicated to prepare electricians to successfully pass required licensing tests as well as to provide a strong knowledge base to promote success in the field.James graduated Valedictorian from ITT Tech in Tampa, Florida with an Associate’s Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.James is a Master Electrician employed by Longchamps Electric, Inc. as a foreman. Longchamps has served its customers for over 40 years and is one of the largest and most well respected electrical and communications system contractors operating in New England.James is an adjunct college professor at MCC in New Hampshire, teaching electrical theory, author of the Electrical Exam Academy "Electrical Exam Study guide" www.ElectricalExamAcademy.com, teaching code prep courses at night, consulting on a state of the art online Journeyman course with the publisher Brown Technical Bookshop, and a certified continuing education instructor for the electrical 30 hour continuing education course in New HampshireIn addition, James also invented “The Jimbo” wire pull bracket--a device used by electricians to aid in long pulls of electrical cable through drop ceilings and around corners. It allows the practitioner the freedom to work solo by “creating” another set of hands exactly where they’re needed.
