I serve as the staff Submarine Warfare Specialist for the core War Gaming team at the Naval War College. The War Gaming Department is tasked with designing, running and analyzing large scale war games for various fleet and Pentagon commands, and I provide subject matter expertise in the area of Undersea Warfare. I contribute to the research, design, and development required to compile a war game. I am the primary adjudicator for all Undersea Warfare and submarine related war game play. I ensure that the war games we build take into account the capabilities of various classes of submarines and ensure that submarine war game play takes into account doctrinal operations to ensure realistic and plausible outcomes.

I served as the Operations Officer and Security Manager on board USS OLYMPIA. I directly supervised over 70 personnel in the Navigation, Communications and IT divisions in the daily operation and maintenance of multiple complex mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems. I developed complex branch and sequel plans to achieve strategic and operational goals to support both mission accomplishment and crew training and certifications.I led my department through a shipyard period focusing on complex and infrequent maintenance, the pre-deployment training period focusing on individual and team training, and deployment carrying out the tasks for which we trained.As Security Manager, I ensured the safety and security of all classified systems and data on board and administratively managed the security clearances of over 150 people at a given time.

Studied in the Graduate School of Operations and Information Science.Earned a Master's of Science in Defense Analysis with a specialization in irregular warfare and special operations.

I served as Quality Assurance Officer and Assistant Engineer, managing the maintenance and operation of multiple departments throughout the ship.As Assistant Engineer, I provided the Ship's Engineer maintenance management, training and operations management assistance of the Engineering Department, comprising over 70 personnel, throughout a complex ship's overhaul.I was qualified Senior Supervisory Watch, a position used during complex testing and reactor operations which granted me the authorities of the Commanding Officer in his absence to ensure safe and proper conduct of the tests.I managed all QA work and qualified all QA workers on board USS PASADENA, including systems interfacing with seawater, high pressure air systems, nuclear systems, oxygen systems and refrigerant systems throughout a two year complex overhaul.I managed the proficiency of multiple mechanics qualified to weld on nuclear systems, including NDT of various welds and materials.I approved and maintained the qualifications of all QA workers, planners, Steam Plant Clear, Reactor Plant Clean and Oxygen Clean workers, and QA Inspectors on board.I led various divisions within the Engineering Department, managing the maintenance and operation of a nuclear reactor and associated propulsion plant.
