Working in the Defense, Security, and Aerospace sector my responsibilities included managing all aspects of the customer relationship, identifying areas where the Plexus value proposition can be better leveraged to facilitate growth, negotiating contracts, working with teams throughout Plexus and customer organizations to improve performance and strengthen relationships, and identifying and executing strategies for profitable growth.

As an operating partner, developed and deployed strategies leading to 100% revenue growth and increased profitability over a five year period that included the Great Recession.

Leveraged capabilities in facilities in the US, Malaysia, Hungary, and Mexico to optimize profitability and customer satisfaction. Developed pricing models allowing the business unit to quickly and accurately respond to RFP’s from target customers to speed revenue growth. Recruited and hired team of professionals to help grow the business as well as provide assistance in establishing the Jabil culture at the facilities in Tempe and Poway. As member of the due diligence team for several target customers, reviewed customer operations in the US and Mexico to determine if the penetration strategy should be facility acquisition or manufacturing integration.

As one of only two expats deployed to Asia for two years, worked with architects directly to design the facility which was optimized for Lean Manufacturing, hired 110 team members, worked with local authorities to establish work force training plans, and started up the company. Execution of a solid plan and vision led to going from greenfield to profitability in 16 months with ISO 9001 certification and the shortest lead times in the industry. The factory remains the most profitable facility globally for Xaloy with the highest quality and shortest lead times providing a global competitive advantage for the organization
