About Jim Stringfellow

I first started making things in high school when I entered my first ever machine shop. After high school I enrolled in the local community college to learn more about machining. During my college days, I had several small machine shop jobs which helped me determine where I wanted to go once I graduated. I then made the decision to move to Seattle in 1988. I started out by working as a machinist until the early 90's and felt I needed to grow so started teaching myself how to do CNC programming. This is the art of telling the machine how you would like to produce the part. I have now worked as a CNC modelmaker since 1995. This is one of the best jobs I have ever had. While at times it can be very challenging, it is very rewarding.Specialties: CNC Machining, Modelmaking, Photography, Videography

Just after Sept.11th, I made a career changing decision to leave Teague and go into business for myself. I started Livewire Prototyping because I felt that I had the strength, talent and diligence to run a successful business. I provide CNC machining as well as hands on modelmaking. I have a full capability modelshop and can take on just about any form of prototyping. If I cannot, I probably know of someone who can help you out. I do prototyping because I love making things. If you need a prototype solution for your project, feel free to reach out and contact me. I will be happy to help.
