I’ve always viewed accounting as my ticket to career freedom. Ever since I took the accounting course in high school, I realized that, by focusing on numbers and people, I could enter into any industry and company I wished, and help create value in every part of a business. In my long career, thus far, I’ve done just that by using numbers and collaborating with others to find ways to win together.Career OverviewI was with JV Manufacturing for 30+ years and became an integral part of their growth and success. I joined the company as a staff accountant and worked my way up to the Chief Financial Officer role. Over the years, I collaborated with others to find ways to maximize profits and create more efficient processes. I also cleared the way for others to thrive and reach their professional goals. At JV Manufacturing, I future-proofed the company by encouraging client portfolio diversification, leading the company to acquire new clients and enter new market spaces.  increased inventory accuracy from 45% to 95%, creating one standard system and cutting inventory count costs.reduced days sales outstanding (DSO) from 70+ days to 40 days by partnering with sales and service teams for client strategy and negotiations. advocated for more women in leadership roles, resulting in 3 woman-led departments.Because of my exceptional record at JV, I was tapped in 2021 to take on the Chief Financial Officer role at Packaging Specialties.
