Responsible for a four seat call center that runs 24/7. During this time I have banished paper and moved all processes online putting all the reference material and procedures online using either SharePoint or Outlook. This gives everyone in the organization we serve the ability to see the procedures we follow (on their behalf) and suggest updates. We have given the ability to update dynamic information (who is on call, who is assigned to which facility) to the actual offices so they can update it themselves to eliminate errors and prevent n the flurry of calls we would take on Friday when everyone updated who was on call.We have implemented a policy of trying to provide as much information to the field as much information as possible so that can make appropriate decisions as quickly as possible.

Starting as a Security Consultant (read - Salesperson) I have held a series of positions. Service Dispatcher; Customer Service Manager, Project Manager and finally Training Guru.I have worked with Monitorng Automation software (Manitou) and reciever hardware (Surgard System IIIs and Bosch D6600s) as well as AlarmNet and proprietary Long Range Radio systems.Responsible for our Business Continuity Plan and worked on the team that developed our warm site backup (one of the few in the industry I suspect). As part of the Corporate Emergency Management Team of our parent company (MTSallstream) we received the Disaster Recovery Institute of Canada Award of Excellence in 2009.

As a Radio Operator from the rank of Private to Sergeant I operated a range of HF and VHF radios in all weather and rustic settings with a goal of 100% uptime.As I was promoted I found myself working as a Training NCO establishing training plans and schedules, booking facilities and managing both students and instructional staff. I worked with the Operations Officer to develop plans and goals for exercises. I rewrote the unit Standard Operating Procedure manual (SOP's) incorporating graphics in it for the first time.I served on two peacekeeping missions in the Middle East which is more of the same just under extremely harsh environmental conditions with the threat of encountering chemical weapons at any time.I broke expensive things that the taxpayer had to pay for while bringing peace and stability to the world.
