THE KILMARNOCK SUPPORTERS SOCIETY LIMITED (THE KILLIE TRUST)Recent events in Scottish football have proven that community ownership is the best, if not only, way forward for football clubs. We want to create a club which is sustainable, successful and democratic, owned by the supporters and the local community. It is important for the club to be well managed and live within its means. As important as success on the pitch is the work carried out off it. The Club should continue to promote youth development and increase the amount of community work it is involved in.The primary objective of the Kilmarnock Supporters' Society Limited (The Killie Trust) is to raise the finance required to bring Kilmarnock Football Club into community ownership. We believe that supporters and the local community should be at the very heart of the club. Following an agreement made with Kilmarnock F.C.’s board, the Killie Trust launched their ‘TRUST IN KILLIE’ fundraising initiative in April 2017, the first target of which. to raise £100,000 to purchase 100,000 unallocated shares in the Club. was reached in May 2018. This secured a full directorship on Kilmarnock Football Club's board for our Trust representative Cathy Jamieson, giving fans a real voice in the operational running of our Club, ensuring a meaningful link between the Board and the fans, whilst providing a stepping stone towards our greater goal of community ownership.Following this historic achievement, we will now build on the success of the ‘Trust in Killie’ campaign, generate more funds for our Club and embark on the next chapter.Please take time to investigate our Trust in Killie campaign at the following link.
