Brijot® is the global leader for non-invasive and safe full-body scanning systems for detecting concealed objects under clothing to protect people, property, and privacy.Responsibilities - To design new products and component enhancements utilizing SolidWorks 3D CAD system. - To lead and participate in new product design from conceptual phase to release to production.Accomplishments:AllClear - Designed handheld object detector utilizing passive millimeter wave sensors. This device was approximately the same size as a metal detector wand, but it was capable of detecting metallic and non-metallic objects. - Named "Inventor" on design patent. - Project Manager as well as only Sr. ME for the entire project. - Led all design reviews, project meetings, schedules and cost estimates. - Created industrial concepts and designed all (12) injection molded parts including micro lenses, handle, housing, light pipes and sensor shock absorbers. - Designed device to pass MIL-STD-810F drop testing of 26 times on to concrete from 48 inches and IP67 water and dust intrusion testing. - Designed overmolding, multiple snap features and threads in plastics. - Utilized EMI shielding. - Designed blind mate interconnection system between assembly halves for modular assembly without connecting cables. - Integrated vibration motor, LEDs, tone generator, lithium ion battery, millimeter wave sensors, IP68 switches and power jack. - Designed all labels. - Created all piece part and assembly documentation.SafeScreen - A full body passive millimeter walk through scanner.Accomplishments: - Turned conceptual design into reality. - Designed 50+ custom sheet metal parts. - Utilized Solidworks FEA ananlysis to improve part designs.
