Jim is a Vice President and Employee Benefits Consultant with McGriff ( formerly known as BB&T Insurance Services), the world’s sixth largest insurance brokerage. Jim graduated from the Eckerd College, and subsequently earned his Charter Life Underwriter (CLU), Fellow Life Management Institute (FLMI), and Associate, Customer Service (ACS), insurance designations. Jim has been certified in Advanced Self-Funding by NAHU, and in 2020 he earned a certificate in Hospitality & Tourism Management by Florida Atlantic University. Jim has over 20 years of experience in Employee Benefits, Group Benefits, Life Health and Disability Underwriting, and Benefits Communications and is considered a trusted advisor and a lead team member for his clients. Jim currently and previously has served on Producer Advisory Councils for some of the country’s largest insurance carriers, including Cigna’s Regional advisory board. Jim’s experience as an underwriter, sales executive, consultant and a member of these advisory boards gives him a strategic advantage in building innovative plan design and benefit strategies that enable his clients to control current and future health care cost for both the company and their employees.
