I was fortunate enough to be in the first cohort of BioTools Innovator (BTI) in 2021, and now I'm working with the program to improve human health by accelerating the growth of a broad spectrum of life science tools, platform technologies, and diagnostics startups.Powered by MedTech Innovator, the largest life science accelerator in the world, BTI is the first-ever accelerator for life science tools and research-enabling technologies. Leveraging the successful model of our flagship programs, our accelerator curates mentorships with industry experts and innovative early-stage biotechnology startups, and creates an immersive educational program to support founders. We foster collaborations by providing access to a global community of investors, strategic partners, and founders. BTI startups compete for up to $300k in non-dilutive cash prize funding.

Pipeline is an elite organization of the Midwest’s most successful, high-performance entrepreneurs paired with a national - and global- network of advisors, mentors and more. Our entrepreneurs work as one to face business challenges, funnel opportunities to their peers and build market-leading technology and life-sciences business together.Each year approximately 10-12 new entrepreneurs are invited to join Pipeline as Fellows. BioTools Innovator received over 160 applications in this year’s cycle. 23 companies were invited to pitch during the BioTools Innovator Road Tour, with 10 companies ultimately receiving a slot in the 2021 Cohort. Clara Biotech received a prize of $10,000 as a finalist selected from this year’s BioTools Innovator Accelerator program.
