At HotCell we undertake design and engineering consultation work for hydrogen production, delivery and storage. We develop our own IP based on electrolyser core design and develop prototypes from prof of concept to production ready.Our new design of cell is more efficient than conventional alkaline dry cells while maintaining simple construction requirements and basic materials for a durable low maintenance product.The new design negates the need for external control systems and allows the cell to respond to variable power input and output requirements.The cell can be installed as a modular system or be scaled individually to suit load demands with no added complexity to auxiliary systems. Advantages of this system include simple manufacture of components and straight forward assembly. The unit will by nature of its construction be very robust and very low maintenance. Cell performance will not degrade overtime neither will the components of the cell.Simplicity will be key to cost effective installation making it preferable to conventional dry cells which require bespoke engineering by specialists. All safety redundancy will be built into the cell meaning safety in operation is guaranteed without the complexity of monitoring or override systems.This cell design is orientated at the domestic market as a boiler for household or commercial use and as a source for green hydrogen for hydrogen fuel cells as well as vehicle systems of various types.The core design of the cell is different to other plate cells. It can make more efficient use of installation space allowing great overall power density of the system. The internal structure of the electrode bank negates the need for external control systems.
