Contract Position with IDR working for Starr Companies.Used SQL queries in SSMS (SQL Server Management Studio) to investigate and fix data problems in aviation insurance applications so underwriters could quote, bind, setup certificates, and process insurance policies to be sent to the user.Reported bugs to management describing in detail problem user is having and/or pointing out where data problem exist in tables.Created and ran SQL queries to create quick reports on demand for users, exported data into Excel, and emailed files to users. Ran weekly and monthly reports which were SQL scripts created by the developers. These processes involved executing their SQL scripts and/or SQL stored procedures. I setup new users for the insurance applications. Refunded payments through payment application when underwriters or users wanted a refund.I setup forms in the VB.NET application in Visual Studio using previous forms as examples. This would involve adding, editing primarily HTML in the form and adding records to SQL tables. This process was well defined by developers and I worked closely with them to implement the forms.I would resolve these incidents and others as they come in from users through either Remedy application tickets request or email request in Outlook.

Worked with IT Applications team to provide high level tier support resolving incidents through ServiceNow application for Aaron's stores to meet our SLA guidelines The incidents would be sent to us from tier 1 support.Used SQL queries to investigate and fix data problems in POS program. Fixing the data problems promotes data integrity in the store database.Used SQL queries to investigate why E commerce agreements were not being made active in stores. This involved investigating automatic job process for stores to see why they failed and investigating bad data in XML documents. In case of a job failure I would trace the problem to see why it failed and fix it. In case of XML I would replace the bad data. Sometimes pending payments would get stuck and I would fix those as well. Investigate payment card (PCI) transactions using SQL queries and program utilities created for this purpose. Resolve problems based on investigation after determining cause of problem.Used a job scheduler program which can run SQL script across store databases to monitor processes across store databases which may indicate problems that have occurred and execute SQL script across those same databases to prevent problems that may result in incidents being reported in from stores.In the case of some job failures I would have to open the stored procs and trace through the SQL to find where the job failed.Identified problems or bugs in the POS program and reported them to QA for verification. The bugs are logged into program to be fixed by Development teams.For store acquisitions configure Windows 2003 or Windows 2008 servers, Windows 7 workstations, and settings in Microsoft SQL server databases that allow the store to get up and functioning as quickly as possible.In the case of hard drive failure, I would restore databases for store's POS. I would restore the latest differential and the full backups from another workstation.
