Applications were developed using Microsoft C++, .NET Framework and Visual Basic .NET.• Designed and directed development of server based content delivery methods and interfaces. Technologies and protocols used include FTP, Asp.net / C# 3.5, Sql Server 2005, Window Services and Ajax methodology.• Over a four year span, the ChyTV products brought in over 2,500 new customers and generated over $3,000,000 in revenue.

Managed software development and technical team for developing products for Interactive Television market (ITV). This involved a variety of products and patented technologies for creating and delivering interactive content to consumer set top box platforms such as Microsoft TV, WebTV, AOLTV, Liberate, OpenTV and more.• Used ATVEF (Advanced Television Enhancement Forum) protocol to deliver live 'triggers' to various set top box platforms to cue interactive content for live event programming, including successful projects such as HGTV's Rose Bowl parade.• Developed ATVEF compliant authoring interface to generate HTML content particularized for the wide variety of set top box formats.• Regularly interfaced with high profile officers within the ITV community from companies such as Microsoft, Intel, AOL, Sony, NDS, OpenTV and more.• Engaged in successful ITV projects with television companies such as the Scripps Network and PBS.• Technologies used include XML, VBI (vertical blanking interval) insertion, HTML, Java Script, Avid MetaSync and Flash.

Lead software engineer for Chyron's flagship iNFiNiT! family of broadcast television character generators. Customers included CBS, NBC, ABC, FOX, ESPN, TNT and many more. The product line included a long run from 1989 through the early 2000's generating sales in excess of $300,000,000 in that time. These are all non-Windows, embedded products running on Motorola CPU boards based on the real-time pSOS operating system.• Developed sophisticated user interface running on dedicated Motorola 162 CPU platforms. This interface was pre-Windows however included button and mouse driven menus and very high quality anti-aliased characters.• Developed high-level graphics algorithms driving intelligent hardware frame buffers to display crisp television text, graphics and animations far beyond the capabilities of off-the-shelf computers. Applications written in C interfaced directly with sophisticated hardware on a low-level register control level.• Developed RS-232 control protocol "Intelligent Interface" which became an industry standard supported by a wide variety of automation equipment companies and is still in wide use in the television industry.• Implemented sophisticated support applications including FTP Client and Server applications, NFS (network file system), disk management and more.

Developed sub-contracted software as a consultant for Palltronics Corporation (i.e. Pall). Developed visual PC interfaces and reporting for filter integrity test equipment, including the Pall FFE03 and Tru-Flow products.• Developed front end PC interfaces to perform sophisticated testing of filter integrity by controlling a system of valves and measurement devices contained within the test equipment. Communication of test commands and results between PC and device was via RS-232 serial control.• PC interface was Windows using Microsoft C++ and Developer's Studio. Test equipment controller was C on embedded processor.• Both FFE03 and Tru-Flow products were very successful for a number of years.
