Turning designs into working code for beautiful mobile interactions.Used pair programming techniques with lead developer to deliver a mobile grocery app for UK’s largest supermarket (Tesco) on Nokia, iPhone and Windows Phone 8, leveraging their large customer base that shopped on their phones. This involved working with their tech team to aid the development of their own API which is still in daily use.Used Agile techniques to improve the development process and include the client at more regular intervals, working from sketches to wireframes to fleshed-out prototypes. Working alongside the MD of this small technology start-up company I implemented, with minimal specification, web-based software tailored for use with RFID technology using several different programming languages. As well as picking up many new web technologies and acquiring a thorough understanding of the structure of the web, I also entertained and demonstrated software to potential clients, thus acquiring valuable business as well as technical knowledge.With the MD I developed a browser-based application to track where on a map high value assets are currently located by taking in readings from RFID tags. This involved updating the location in a database and then updating the visuals of the map based on the position.
