Hired to stabilise a tech team and consolidate the technology platforms during a period of leadership and strategic change.Team Transformation: Recruited during a challenging period to stabilise the tech team, scaling from 20 to 50 full-time employees within the first year and driving improvements in product delivery, support and maintenance through the initiation of DevOps processes.Cultural Re-engineering: Re-energised the engineering culture, fostering better collaboration with other departments and markedly improved the work environment and morale.Delivery Management: Led the team to create new processes and delivered a tech simplification strategy which reduced complexity while increasing predictability, visibility and confidence.Tech Acquisition and Integration: Owned the business acquisition of YPlan, integrating the YPlan team and platform to the rest of the business.

Led the team who transformed the initial ordering and returning customer ordering experiences. In 12 months we increased overall website conversion by 6% and increased repeat ordering through a combination of data-driven, hypothesis led experiments and strategic bets. Operational Platform Management: Responsible for the operation of the Just Eat platform and apps across 10 fast-growing countries. Maintained stability whilst increasing release frequency and confidence through a migration to AWS and the implementation of a devops culture. Notably, we served 2% of Denmark’s population on New Year’s Day 2015. Amazon Web Services’ Biggest .NET customer in Europe.Platform Consolidation: Migrated and integrated multiple platforms into the core Just Eat Platform whilst maintaining the business services.Platform Stability and Automation: Increased the production deployment cadence by 6x over 12 months through the introduction of devops principles, automation and significant reduction in manual QA.

Shortlisted and selected nearshore partner, built an onshore / offshore team of 18 from scratch.Responsible for migrations and internationalisation of functionality across 7 countries: backlog, analysis, development, QA.

Overall responsibility for the QA processes, capability and strategy across Just Eat, responsible for evolution of the test framework. Used various tools including Cucumber, Capybara, Selenium, Jira, Confluence, SVNActing Head of Information Security; responsible for the technical efforts required to achieve PCI Compliance alongside a number of other information security improvements.
