I am driven by a constant and relentless awareness of the conditions and processes in which all work gets done, and by an endless pursuit of bringing improvement, excellence, efficiency, & proficiency to the processes and outcomes. I operate by a strong personal code and highly value honesty, integrity, fairness, and the elimination of waste and expense. I am wired for finding root causes for failure, identifying constraints, risk analysis, and forecasting potential "surprises", that threaten success before they happen. I enjoy process improvement as a means to make systems work better, which in turn makes people's lives better. I enjoy the social benefits of having fun at work, and enjoy being around a very diverse population of friends and coworkers, but above having fun I am serious about accountability, end results, and each person's participation to get to the goal. If we fail to address problems, conditions, and people's behaviors that threaten organizational success then we are part of the problem, and if we are unwilling to solicit and receive input from those above, beside, and below us in the chain, we may be our own biggest problem. I invite people's critical observations all the time because I see my existence on earth as a life-long pursuit of improvement to better fulfill the mission I was created for, and though I attribute great importance to my responsibilities I don't take myself so seriously as to elevate myself above others.
