· Act as deputy to Venue Director in conjunction with soccer matches to be held at University of Phoenix Stadium on June 5th, 8th, and 25th· Collaborate with host venue as key representative of Local Organizing Committee on a variety of issues including, but not limited to security, broadcasting, catering, and signage· Assist in managing the preparation, event time, and close-out of all operations · Help facilitate the resolution of issues and problem solve on a wide-range of cross-departmental activities

· Oversee day-to-day operation of the Event Operations Department, providing departmental leadership, direction, vision, and goals· Supervise and support full-time staff including 5 direct reports: 2 Assistant Directors, 2 Managers, and 1 assistant· Assist with all professional sport, concert and family show event day needs· Assist with hiring, training, and supervision of approximately 300 part-time guest service staff, as well as resolution of guest concerns· Manage 5 departmental budgets and develop and maintain event estimates and budgets· Interact with external promoters, companies, and contractors to assure a positive and productive relationship· Act as liaison between promoters/teams and other departments, as well as between staff and community agencies, to ensure games and events are successful

· Manage department of 300 part-time ushers, ticket takers, and guest relations representatives· Supervise seven full-time employees· Oversee all aspects of departmental hiring, training, recognition, and disciplinary issues· Directly oversee two budgets within the departments. Develop and administer morale-boosting programs and incentives for event staff.

· Keep master calendars for all athletic venues· Prepare, negotiate, and finalize contracts and expense settlements for special events with University, community and national users· Act as liaison between visiting teams/promoters and other campus departments· Coordinate and manage all game personnel including public safety, parking, medical, ticket takers and ushers for all university athletic and special events.

· Coordinate and organize all aspects of performances at ASU Gammage as well as all non-athletic events at the University Activity Center and Sun Devil Stadium· Act as liaison between visiting companies/promoters and other campus departments, as well as between staff and community agencies. · Work with Technical Directors to develop event estimates and budgets· Serve as House Manager for events in the Activity Center, including university Commencement ceremonies, supervising security, house staff, ushers and ticket takers· Monitor event expenditures to ensure event estimates and budgets are not overspent.
