When I was a kid, my parents - both pastors with little education around financial matters- put their trust in the hands of a financial advisor who did not put their best interest first. As a result, they lost all their savings, and a modest home we owned. My family’s experience would pave the path for me to enter this field. For the past two decades, I’ve specialized in helping people translate their money into goals that are meaningful to them. Throughout this process, I am committed to being transparent, about everything, with my clients. I can’t stand to hear that people are getting bad advice – whether it’s ill-intentioned or from a place of ignorance.In 2013, my partner Ben and I left Merrill Lynch to start Beck Bode, an independent firm that allows us to offer a personal boutique approach. We have been growing ever since. Outside of work, I’m dedicated to several charitable organizations, currently serving on the board of the Breakthrough T1D.
